Hunting and fishing

The Republic of Srpska Hunting Association is making significant efforts to preserve wildlife and its habitats. Measures for the protection and feeding of wild animals are being implemented, as well as the construction of technical and breeding facilities. Planned shooting is done through hunting tourism.

The Sarajevo-Romanija hunting region stands out for its beauty. Most of the hunting areas of the municipality of Pale are hilly, with dominant forests, intersected by bays and valleys of watercourses. Nature has given the municipality of Pale various types of game (deer, partridge, bear, wild boar, fox, wolf, rabbit, marten, badger and others). Most of Pale’s hunting grounds also include hunting lodges, closed and open checkpoints, feeding grounds, organized chases and guide services. The “Jahorina” Hunting Association from Pale manages an area of ​​37,039 hectares and owns several hunting and technical facilities.

Fishing tourism is also very rich. The Paljanska Miljacka and Mokranjska Miljacka, Prača, Bistrica, Kasindolski potok and many other mountain streams and lakes offer different types of fish (brown trout, grayling, huchen and others). There is also a fishing lodge in Nikolići, which is suitable for beginners in sport fishing. USR “Bistrica” ​​often restocks Pale rivers. Fans of sport hunting and fishing often come to the area of ​​the municipality of Pale.
